Montreal Flat Iron Steak

This Montreal Flat Iron Steak recipe is great on an indoor or outdoor grill. Flat iron steaks are the second most tender piece of beef next to the filet. Just follow these instructions for a tender, juicy and flavorful steak.

  • 4- 8 oz Flat Iron Steaks
  • 4 tablespoons Pure Olive Oil
  • 3 tablespoons Montreal Steak Seasoning (available in most supermarkets)

Place the steaks on a large plate and lightly rub both sides with olive oil. Infuse both sides with Montreal Steak seasoning. Cover and let rest at room temperatur for 30 minutes. Cook immediately. Place steaks on medium heat grill for approximately 5 minutes. Turn only once and cook another 5 minutes until steaks reach the desired doneness. (145 degrees for medium). Note: To create grill marks rotate 90 degrees after cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side. Enjoy!!

How to Stop Brutalizing Your Food

Chicago Kitchen Cutlery Sets

Not many people know that when you cut food you affect its flavor.  Depending on how you cut or tear your food you’ll notice a very subtle change in the flavor of your dish.  This is why some chefs choose to tear certain foods with their bare hands.  Things like vegetables, when torn instead of cut, will release more flavor into the dish if cooked for the appropriate amount of time.

On the other hand, there are times when we don’t want the food we’re processing to seep its flavor or character into anything else.  This is true of most meats.  So, the end result of your culinary creations depends largely on the quality (or lack thereof) of your kitchen cutlery sets.  Anyone who’s ever made so much as a sandwich can tell you how critical it is to have top-quality and dependable cutlery at your disposal.

Since dull blades require a greater force to achieve a cut dull knives present a much greater cut hazard in the kitchen.  This is why it’s important to check the strength of the blade of your knives.  It’s good to know precisely what the steel can tolerate before it loses its edge.  Personally, I think having a dull knife is worse than not have a knife at all!

I’ve been looking for some silverware for entertaining my friends and family and the Oneida flatware that I found is it. This 68 piece set has all of the items that I needed for serving a complete meal and the feel of the pieces is very solid. Everyone commented on the table that I set. I look forward to the next get-together. I did not realize the impact that this silverware would have on my guests.

Quality Cookware - Fair Price

Author: BloggyFlay

As a food service industry professional I can tell you that quality cookware and affordable cookware sets are under-rated.  I used to be surprised by culinary disasters due to sub-par preparation tools.  I’ve met a number of people who believe that because their food cooks inconsistently or improperly that their cooking skills are to blame.  In so many cases, however, a brief examination of the circumstances often turns up poorly constructed cookware.
